Things I am grateful for at Thanksgiving!

This week we are celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday. This is the time of year where we come together with our family and friendsand think about things that we are grateful for. I personally love this holiday because it reminds me how blessed I am to be surrounded by so many people who love me! We also get to eat lots of turkey and catch up with one another. In this blog post, I want to talk sbout things that I am grateful for this year!

First off, I am grateful for my friends and family. Without these people in my life, I wouldn't be the person that I am today! I have been surrounded by so many people who have taken care of me my whole life. I know that not everyone has that kind of support system in their lives like I do. My parents have always encouraged me to dream big and overcome what would seem to be the impossible. I have always had my family's support no matter what I was doing so I know that no matter what I do in my life, my family and friends will always have my back!

Secondly, I am also thankful for the support that I had when I was competing in Miss Alabama USA earlier this year. There were so many people who did what ever they could to get me to the pageant. A lot of people voted for me for the People's Choice award. I also had friends and family members who took my official pictures and helped me make my home made mask for the opening number. There were also several people all over the country who tuned in both nights so that they could watch me compete. I also had amazing sponsors who believed in me and made sure that I had their support during the whole process.

I am thankful for all of the amazing young ladies that I was able to meet while doing Miss Alabama USA. Everyone was really nice and we all got along so well. We were able to create long time friendships that will last a lifetime. I was so honored that they voted for me to win the Miss Congeniality Award because anyone of those girls could have easily won that award. It also meant a lot that my family was there to see me win that award as well. I will always remember that moment for a long time. I still remeber tearing up when I was holding my award for the first time and thinking to myself that this was better than any title I could ever win because it was the only award that all of those young ladies voted for.

Lastly, I am thankful for all of the other amzing memories that I was able to make this year. I had a blast going to the Grand Ole Opry where we were able to meet a lot of amazing people and where we enjoyed an awesome concert at the same time! I was so honored to also make the George H. Bush Points of Light Inspiration Honor Roll. in a couple of weeks from now, I will be graduating with my bachelor's degree in Accounting. That will be another big and exiting milestone in my life! I am also grateful for the smaller moments that I got to celebrate from this year as well.

When you all are sitting around the table with your loved ones this year, don't forget to remember what you are grateful for this year. We all have so many blessings in our lives! I remind myself that there are many people out there that are not as fortunate than I am and that helps remind me of all of the blessings in my life. I hope everyone has a great holiday! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
