When I was three years old, I got my first powered chair but there was only one problem, I did not know how to drive my new chair. My mom decided to take me to the local science musuem where they had a three tiered ramp in order to teach me how to maneuver different twists and turns. This was a big deal because now I could be like all the other kids and play outside with my twin sister. My twin sister, who is completly healthy, had been playing with friends that were around our age outside. When I learned maneuverability and control, I could play also. This was life changing. I think that is a big lesson that everyone needs to learn. No matter how difficult the obstacle, it is all about your ability to maneuver and stay positive while doing it.
