Hurdling Over Life's Speed Bumps

People who know me best know that I only have one speed, fast! My high school principle always threatened me with putting speed bumps in the hallways in order to slow me down. On the day I graduated from high school, he finally put a speed bump in front of the ramp that led up to the stage. Of course I thought it was hilarious!

There are always going to be speed bumps trying to get in our way of accomplishing goals, but we just have to roll over them no matter hard it might be. When I was in middle school, I was not allowed to take AP classes because they didn't think that I could do it. Meanwhile, my twin sister was able to take those kinds of classes and so therefore, knew how to write a proper essay when we entered high school.

When I was in 11th grade, I finally was able to take AP English. I was behind on my writing skills, but I knew if I wanted to succeed in this class then I was going to have to roll over that speed bump and work hard. I ended up doing very well in the class because I never gave up on myself. Speed bumps are always going to show up, but it's the way we approach them that matters the most.

I finally got in on my laptop. I'm going to save it to favorites as it was very difficult to open (opened on my phone easily.) Have a great weekend and school next week.
