Today is Easter and it is one of my favorite holidays! Every year, people do all kinds of fun activities like coloring eggs, going egg hunting, and dressing up reall nice for church to celebrate this beloved holiday. Kids are always exited for the Easter bunny to come and give them all sorts of treats like chocolate bunnies! Parents will also take their kids to take their pictures with the Easter bunny at the mall or some place similar. Those pictures are always treasured keepsakes for years to come.
I remember when I was a little girl, my parents would always put me and my sister Hannah in the cutest little Easter outfits for Easter Sunday. We would always get compliments on how cute we looked! My parents also made sure that not only did we get to enjoy this holiday by doing all of the fun things like the Easter bunny and egg hunts, but also that we understood from an early age the importance of this holiday. We were always in church on Easter Sunday so we learned that we celebrate Easter because of the ressurrection of Jesus Christ! Jesus died on the cross for our sins and then three days later, he rose from the grave therefore, defeating death so that we can become a child of God and go to heaven for eternity! The kicker is that he didn't have to do that at al, but he chose to do it because he loves us so much that he wanted to have a personal relationship with us and be with us forever!
As you are spending this holiday with your family and friends, I hope you guys are spending some quality time with each other, but also remembering the real reason that we're celebrating this holiday in the first place. In the past Easter Sunday's in order to close out the church service, so that is how I'm going to close out this pst. "He is risen!", "He is is risen indeed!". Happy Easter everyone and God bless!
