People that know me and my family the best, know that we have been through a lot together. Because my family and I have been surrounded by many people through thick and thin, we know that no matter the circumstance, we will never be alone. There has been many instances where people have stepped up to the plate and took care of things that we needed done. If I have learned one lesson throughout my life, it would be that God provides people when we need it the most. I always remind myself that even in my darkest times, God will get me through and there are brighter days ahead!

When my Dad was so sick with cancer, we had family, friends, and church family come and bring us dinner and gifts. Sometimes, people would do chores that we needed to get done and prayed for us as well. My family was shown so much love during those dark days, that we believe it was a reflection of God's love for us as well as the love those people had for us too. The summer before my eigth grade year, I had to have iron rods put into my back because my spine was curved. I stayed at Venderbilt Children's Hospital for two weeks and then went home. On the fourth day of being home, we found a staff infection in the place where the doctors had operated so I had to go back to the hospital. A family friend of ours drove up there with my Mom and stayed with us in the emergency room all night even though there just so happened to be two prisoners on either side of our room that were chained up. That is what I call a true friend! A few weeks later, my Dad collapsed and we didn't know if he'd even survive or not. My Mom decided to leave me and go back home to be with him for a little bit. We had so many family members, friends, and fellow church members that came and stayed with me and took great care of me while Mom was gone. There was one family that are friends of ours who would constantly feed me and make sure that my whole family was taken care of so that we would have as little stress as possible. We can never repay them for everything that they did for us.

A few weeks ago, I ended up in the hospital with an infection and I was almost done with my summer classes then. When I got home I was so behind on my homework that I didn't know if I would get everything done on time or not. I decided to keep going with both classes but I knew that I could not do it alone. God helped me through the late nights that I had because of my circumstances, I was able to get everything turned in on time and I ended up with good grades. I was so thankful that I stuck with both classes in the end because it was another reminder of God's provisions for me.

No matter your circumstances, God provides other people in your life in order to help you out or to just encourage you. I have seen God's goodness over and over again in my life and I don't even want to think where I'd be if I he didn't provide for me like he has. If you are struggling with something, do not be discouraged because you are not alone. Do not be afraid to ask God for help because he wants you to come to him when there seems like there's no hope in sight. God always loves his people no matter what and that is why I love him!
