Christmas has always been my favorite time of year! It's a time where friends and family get together and celebrate the season. I have always treasured this time of year because we get to see everyone that you don't usually get to see most of the year and there is always a chance that someone might not be here next year so making the most of Christmas is important! I remember when I was little, the most exiting part of the holiday was getting presents from Santa but as I've gotten older, I have realized how great quality time with our friends and family time really is.

Some of our families favorite traditions are getting a new ornament each year for the tree. We also love driving around our neighborhood and looking at Christmas lights. On both sides of my family, we love to cook so we always have way more food than we really need! I always love seeing my friends and family opening their gifts from me because I try to make presents as personal as possible! This time of year has the best movies and music as well! Christmas has a way of bringing my inner kid out of me and it's the best feeling in the world!

Even though all of the company, presents, lights, food, music, and movies are great, we must never forget the true reason for the season. The only reason that we have Christmas in the first place is because Jesus Christ came down from heaven as a baby to be born of a virgin so that he could later die in order to save us all from our sins. Everytime I try to think of the importance of that fact, I am overwhelmed of the love that our saviour has for us! During this holiday season as you are surrounded by our loved ones, let us always remember the sacrifice that our Lord Jesus Christ made for us. Merry Christmas everyone and may God bless you and your families!!!
